Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Could not recommend more. From the owner (who is incredibly personable) to the staff, to the cooks. These people are incredible. Highly highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have an incredible time and eat a meal that makes you leave talking to your significant other about how you will tell friends about this.

We celebrated our 8-year anniversary at Primi Piatti, and it exceeded our expectations! This charming spot served up fantastic service, fresh bread, and incredible entrees. My husband raved about the chicken Alfredo, while I devoured the chicken francese - both generous portions. The star of the show was definitely their heavenly homemade tiramisu! Primi Piatti is perfect for special occasions or a lovely dinner out. We can't wait to return!

Primi Piatti is a true gem in the Riverside area that feels like stepping back in time--in the best way possible. From the moment we walked in, we were embraced by its classic Italian decor and the sounds of Italian opera music, which set the perfect ambiance for the evening. Our server provided warm, attentive service throughout the night, making us feel like cherished guests. We started with a couple of glasses of Prosecco, which immediately added a festive touch. To begin, I had the Caesar salad, and my husband chose the pasta fagioli soup. Both were incredibly fresh, perfectly portioned, and a delicious prelude to what was to come. For our entrées, I switched to a lovely glass of Chianti that transported me straight to an outdoor bistro in Florence. I opted for the Pasta Alle Vongole, a delicate clam pasta with white wine and garlic sauce, while my husband chose the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken. Every bite was absolute perfection--buonissimo! One of the things I truly appreciated about Primi Piatti was the relaxed pace of the evening. Unlike many places nowadays, we never felt rushed. Instead, we were encouraged to savor the experience, which made the meal all the more enjoyable. To finish, we made just enough room to share a perfectly portioned Neapolitan ice cream, accompanied by a cup of coffee that gave us the boost we needed after such a satisfying meal. The icing on the cake? The owner personally stopped by our table to check on us and ensure we had everything we needed--a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about the care and pride they take in their restaurant. Overall, I'm so glad we decided to dine at Primi Piatti. It's the perfect spot for a cozy, unhurried date night, and I highly recommend this sweet Riverside treasure. We'll definitely be back for another magical evening!

Aside from the food, which was delicious, I came here to talk about the owner, who came to our table to personally enhance our service. It could've been because they weren't busy, but that doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is that he didn't have to. What matters is how much he obviously cares about his business and his customers. To me that makes all the difference between a great restaurant and one that's unforgettable.

I had a truly lovely lunch today!! Started with the fresh brewed peach tea 5/5 Next was soup of the day -- SO GOOD! 5/5 Next was ensalata capresse - SO GOOD 5/5 The bread was - just ok- but it was not really a must for me so that's ok. The establishment was clean, quiet and kind of adorable. The server was an attractive gentleman

From outside it's not a very noticeable restaurant, however when you come inside it gives you this old traditional Italian vibe. The service was great, very friendly and patient going over the menu and the specials. We opted for the mussels which were really good and if you ask for some more bread you can dip it in the remaining sauce and it's delicious. The carbonara was good, but not great to be honest; it needs some extra flavor in my opinion. The portion was generous so no complains there. I would definitely come back and try some other things in the menu

Love this small intimate restaurant. Service never misses, attentive but never feel rushed, great recommendations, and always very pleasant. As you're enjoying the wine and homemade bread with oil/herbs the smell of fresh garlic being sauté tickles your nose. The mussel with wine sauce appetizer is great and also adds another dip for your bread. You can choose any pasta or meat dish and it will be fantastic. They also have specials and the Chilean sea bass was over the top. Pasta dishes are not over cooked and taste heavenly You will never be disappointed by this quaint little restaurant. Truly a hidden gem on Park Street with excellent food.

It was my first time here and it exceeded my expectations. It is not a frou frou place like some other Italian restaurant in Avondale. But it feels like an Italian family invited me to their home for dinner that is hearty and comfort food. Service was friendly and inside decor was cozy; perfect for date night. The bread with olive oil was a simple presentation. But the bread was warm and so good. Calamari did not have too much breading which was great. The lasagna was a special and was good. A little disappointed by the Bolognese which is only served during lunch but if you ask, they're still serve it for dinner but it's not on the menu. Overall a solid place in the neighborhood.
